Purpose: The aim of the study was to investigate The Influence of Eight-week Circuit Training on the Stability of the Forehand Backhand and the Physical Fitness of the Tennis Players of the Elementary School Men's Soft Tennis Players. Methods: Ten elementary school men’s soft tennis players were randomly split into experimental group (5 players) and control group (5 players). The experimental group utilized circuit training two times per week for eight weeks. The stability of forehand strike, backhand strike, and physical fitness were tested before and after training intervention. Paired sample t-test compared the difference between pretest and posttest, while independent sample t test analyzed the between-group improvement. Results: (1) There experimental group had significant difference on 30m dash, single-leg stance with eyes closed, sit and reach test, grip test with strong hand, 1 minute sit-up, standing long jump, and the stability of forehand and backhand strike toward different angles (straight and diagonal) in pretest and posttest (p<.05), while there was no significant difference on 800m run. (2) The experimental group had greater improvement than control group on single-leg stance with eyes closed, sit and reach test, grip test with strong hand, 1-minute sit-up, standing long jump, the stability of forehand diagonal strike, and backhand straight and diagonal strike following 8 weeks training intervention. There were no significant difference on 30m dash, 800m run, and forehand straight strike. Conclusions: Eight weeks circuit training can effectively improve the stability of forehand strike, backhand strike, and conditioning, and provide a new training option for coaches.
