| Popis: | 106 This study aims to examine the relationship between students’ perception on the parenting attitude and school adjustment for the seventh and eighth graders of Chiayi City.This research starts with an investigation the relationship between students’ perception on the parenting attitude and school adjustment for the seventh and eighth graders of Chiayi City. Then it intends to explore the influence of students’ background, such as gender, grades, family economic status, on the parenting attitude and school adjustment, and the relationship is on the both. This thesis employs the survey method. The participants of this study are the students from the seventh and eighth graders of Chiayi City. The “parenting attitude questionnaire” and “school adjustment questionnaire” are the main survey instruments used for the participants. The data analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent-sample t –test, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson product-moment correlation, and multiple stepwise regression. The results are presented as follows: 1. The perception about parenting attitude for the seventh and eighth graders wear above middle level. 2. The perception about school adjustment for the seventh and eighth graders wear above middle level. 3. From different students’ backgrounds, the findings showed that there have partial differences in perception of parental attitude. 4. From different students’ backgrounds, the findings showed that there have partial differences in school adjustment. 5. The relationship between students’ perception on the parenting attitude and school adjustment was significantly positive. 6. The study also showed that have predictable ability to parenting attitude toward school adjustment. |
