A study on Career Self-concept and Career Self-efficacy of the Students Study Vocational Technical Education Programs in Public Junior High Schools of Taipei City.

Popis: | 106 The purpose of the study explores the differences and correlations between the career self-concept and career self-efficacy of the public junior high school students in different background variables who are taking vocational technical education programs in Taipei City. The objects of the study are the public junior high school students who were taking vocational technical education programs in Taipei City in 2016 academic year. The information of the study was collected by questionnaires with Career Self-concept Scale and Career Self-value Scale. Through Judgemental Sampling, the effective questionnairies were analyzed statistically via SPSS system. Descriptive Statistics, one-sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation, Scheffé multiple comparison tests, and unplanned comparison were applied in data analysis. According to the study purpose, the following results are concluded: 1.The career self-concept of the public junior high school students who are taking vocational technical education programs in Taipei City is clear, especially in “career value.” 2.The career self-efficacy of the public junior high school students who are taking vocational technical education programs in Taipei City shows confidence, especially in “future plan setting.” 3.The career self-efficacy in “goals choosing” of the public junior high school male students who are taking vocational technical education programs in Taipei City is better than that of the public junior high school female students who are taking vocational technical education programs in Taipei City 4.The career self-efficacy in “career information searching” of the public junior high school students who are taking vocational technical education programs in Taipei City and choose occupation courses to be their first volunteer is better than that of those who do not choose occupation courses to be their first volunteer. 5.The career self-efficacy in “problem solving” of the public junior high school students who are taking vocational technical education programs in Taipei City and ranked in the top thirty-three percent of the class is better than that of those who are ranked in the bottom thirth-three percent of the class. 6.The career self-efficacy in “problem solving” of the public junior high school students who are taking vocational technical education programs in Taipei City and choose “general high school” as their future plan is better than that of the public junior high school students who are taking vocational technical education programs in Taipei City and choose “technical high school” or “others.” 7.Between the career self-concept and career self-efficacy of the public junior high school students who are taking vocational technical education programs in Taipei City is positive correlation.
