Popis: | 106 Light-emitting diode (LED) is a semiconductor device that emits visible light. It was initially applied to indicator light and display screen, but has been gradually applied to general lighting with the increase in the luminous efficiency of white LED. This study explores the LED packaging and testing process and the musculoskeletal ergonomic factors of the workers. According to Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire (NMQ) analysis over the last three years, 31.49% of the workers showed symptoms of musculoskeletal disorders. Therefore, a high-risk group will be screened for further analysis to explore the relationship between the operation content and lifestyle background of the workers suffering from musculoskeletal disorders symptoms. Ergonomic hazards assessment and improvement are conducted in order to reduce musculoskeletal discomfort symptoms. The study consists of four parts. Firstly, Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire is used to investigate the symptoms of musculoskeletal discomfort among the workers in order to understand whether workers suffer from any musculoskeletal discomfort symptoms and screen out the high-risk group. Further analysis is conducted to determine whether subject background data has significant effects that contribute to musculoskeletal discomfort. The second part, ergonomic hazards assessment is conducted with the use of KIM key indicators checklist. In the third part, strategy development and execution for ergonomic improvements is conducted based on the results of the ergonomic hazards assessment. In addition, a series of ergonomic hazards management and measures are planned and implemented specifically on repetitive operations in order to reduce musculoskeletal discomfort caused by repetitive operations. Lastly, performance verification is conducted after improvements are fully implemented. Analysis showed that most workers in the high-risk group suffer from neck, shoulder and back discomfort, which has significant association with their working posture. KIM-MHO and KIM-LHC checklists are used while conducting ergonomic hazards assessment of the high-risk group. Results showed that workers in a low load situation and classified as risk range level 1 account for the largest proportion at 55.74%, while 40.98% of the workers are in moderate load situation and classified as risk range level 2. Only 3.28% work in an increased load situation and are classified as risk range level 3. Performance evaluation showed that, after improvement, the number of musculoskeletal discomfort patients in the high-risk group has decreased by 70.49%. Symptom of musculoskeletal discomfort in neck, shoulders, knees, hips and feet/ankle areas have significantly improved. This study aims to understand the ergonomic factors of the workers and make improvements, in order to reduce worker’s musculoskeletal disorders symptoms and occupational injury ratio, enhance work efficiency, and establish a safe, healthy and friendly work environment. |
