A Study of Sport Tourists\' Motivation, Leisure Experience, Satisfaction and Revisit Intention in Dapeng Bay

Popis: | 106 The aims of this research are as follows: (1) to analysis background information for sports tourists’ in Dapeng Bay; (2) to survey the status of the motivation, leisure experience, satisfaction and revisit intention for sports tourists; (3) to compare the motivation, leisure experience, satisfaction and revisit intention for participants with different backgrounds; and (4) to analyze the relationship of motivation, leisure experience, satisfaction and revisit intention for sports tourists. The method of this study refers to the relevant literature to develop "Sport Tourists’ Motivation, Leisure Experience, Satisfaction and Revisit Intention Scale", and select each type of sports tourists issued 120 in Dapeng Bay as targets. Purposive sampling is used to gather 360 valid questionnaires. We anticipate achieved the following results: (1) the sports tourists mainly male, 21-30 years old, college students and low income of the southern Taiwan in Dapeng Bay; (2) The health fitness is highest in the participation motivations; the emotional experience is highest in the leisure experiences; the leisure satisfaction is the highest in satisfactions; and recommend willing is the highest in revisit intention for sports tourists; (3) There are significant differences between different background and participate types (water activities, cyclists, road runners) on motivation, leisure experience, satisfaction, and revisit intention for sports tourists; (4) the sports tourists satisfaction can be explained by the leisure experience that the explanatory power was 65.8%, the revisit intention of sports tourists can be explained by their satisfaction, leisure experience and motivation, explanatory power was 63.1%, of which satisfaction was the most important (60.1%), followed by leisure experience (2.1%) and motivation (0.9%). In conclusion, there are significant differences in motivation, leisure experience, satisfaction and revisit intention on different backgrounds and participate types for sport tourists. Their leisure experience has the most significant impact on their satisfaction, while satisfaction has the most significant impact on their revisit intention. Therefore, management operators should focus on the needs of sports tourists of different backgrounds and participate types to enhance the quality of sports tourism facilities and services, an promote their leisure experience and satisfaction, and increase their willingness to revisit and recommend. |
