A Study on 'LINE' as a Communication Tool between Parents and Teachers–A Case of Elementary Schools in Kinmen County

Popis: | 106 The purpose of this study is to explore the perceived use of LINE as communication tool between parents and teachers at elementary schools levels in Kinmen County. Once teachers have higher perception toward the use of LINE, then the problems occurred between parents and teachers communication would be largely reduced. The subjects of this study are 2017 academic-year teachers in Kinmen County by questionnaire survey. 233 copies of this survey were sampled and 216 valid copies were collected. Those data are analyzed by statistics methods. The major results of this study are shown as follows, 1. The perceived ease of use toward using LINE as communication tool between parents and teachers is high level; but that of perceived usefulness is moderate-high level. 2. 3 aspects toward using LINE as communication tool between parents and teachers on “instant anxiety”, “boundary issues” and “communication” are moderate-high level. 3. School-scale with less than 6 classes of those teachers is higher level of perceived ease of use than that with 7 to 12 classes. 4.Different duration of using LINE as parent-teacher communication tool and the perceived of usefulness of those teachers are significantly different. 5.Different age, administrative duty and duration of using LINE as parent-teach communication tool of those teachers are significantly different in terms of “instant anxiety”. 6.Different ages on using LINE as parent-teacher communication tool of those teachers are significantly different. 7.Correlation between perceived use of LINE level and parent-teacher communication is significantly positive. Finally, the educational implications of this study and recommendations for future study are also proposed. |
