A Study about Positive Leadership of the Preschool Principals and Teaching Effectiveness for Public Preschool Teachers in Taipei City

Popis: | 106 The purpose of the study is to conduct a research about positive leadership of the preschool principals and teaching effectiveness for public preschool teachers in Taipei city. The research contents were included the current status of positive leadership of the preschool principals and teaching effectiveness of public preschool teachers; differences between public preschool teachers backgrounds and positive leadership of the preschool principals, and teaching effectiveness; relationships and models for positive leadership of the preschool principals and teaching efficiency of public preschool teachers in Taipei city. There are 280 returned valid samples out of 350 sent out samples (80% returned rate). Simultaneously, statistical analyses in this study were employed by descriptives, factor analysis, reliability analysis, 1-Way MANOVA, and structural equation modeling (SEM). Results of the study summarized as follows: (a) The present situations of positive leadership of the preschool principals and teaching effectiveness of public preschool teachers in Taipei city were good; (b) There were differences among teachers with different backgrounds in positive leadership of the preschool principals and teaching effectiveness; (c) The model showed that positive leadership of the preschool principals had medium significant positive influence on teaching effectiveness. This study finally proposed conclusions and solid suggestions as references for educational administrators, preschool teachers, and future research based on the results. |
