Popis: | 106 This paper presents a smartphone user interface design for visually impaired (VI) users. This design uses four-quadrant, voice interaction and hand shaking smartphone controls for VI users. This design provides some simplified functions to provide the VI smartphone with a very friendly interface. The adaptive threshold of the acceleration values from the smartphone’s tri-axis accelerometer are used to enhance the accurate rate of judging the VI user’s hand shaking smartphone control. The priority sequence function makes the smartphone application easier for a VI user to make a phone call. In addition, the emergency function enables VI users to call for help when they get hurt, lost, or are in some emergency situations when they need to connect with others within a short time. |
