Moderate stress may benefit human body, but when the stress can’t be ruled out for a long time, it will do harm to human body. Due to the social fierce competition, people live under various of stress with a fast rhythm of life. Long-term stress can’t be released, it will cause pessimistic impact on psychological, physiological and behavioral aspects, even serious physical disease. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) has been popular in foreign countries for around 30 years, until recently, it came to Taiwan and Mainland China and began to be concerned, by releasing stress, it can be very useful for health recovery, health maintenance and health promotion. Eight-week MBSR training includs body scanning, Mindfulness-Based yoga and meditation, whose concepts and skills are based on the abdominal breathing, self-awareness and being mode. It is a holistic health way which takes care of body, heart and soul at the same time. Many domestic and foreign research literature shows that MBSR training can improve pain, anxiety, depression and insomnia. But researches are based on observing illness people, lack of health and sub-health objects. Most domestic researches are based on interviews and questionnaires, without evidence by measurement instrument and subjective scale to evaluate the effect of MBSR on stress. Trainees for this study are from all volunteers without any disease, experimental group and control group are divided of their own accord. First of all, two groups fill in their individual basic information, implement the first perceived stress scale and HRV pretest. And then experimental groups start the 8-weeks MBSR training in their daily life. Control group just maintain general life work and rest. After eight weeks, do the perceived stress scale and HRV pretest on two groups again, compare the data before and after between these two groups. The experimental results show that the perceived stress scale data of experimental group is significant lower than before, after training the parasympathetic nerve activity is higher than before. All testing data for control group is similar with before. Therefore, it confirmed that MBSR training can make people relax, reduce stress, which can be a proper regimen for office workers during their daily life.
