Global warming is one of the major issue that needs to solved nowadays, countries around the world begin to focus on the arrangement of energy and developing green industry, heading to low carbon society and developing low carbon economic. In recent years, Taiwan expects to increase the proportion of green energy by clean power generation, and solar power generation is a very good way to implement it. By developing solar energy to effectively reduce fossil fuels for environmental protection, most people do not understand whether the energy produced by production, materials and pollutants will cause environmental pollution when producing solar cells. How to continue to improve and reduce pollution to zero is the direction of industrial efforts. Therefore, this study uses the life cycle assessment method implemented by the European Union to analyze domestically produced monocrystalline solar modules and (CIGS) thin film solar modules. ILCD Midpoint 2011 is used as a methodology to evaluate 14 environmental impacts of products, evaluate the impact of products under various environmental issues, and then analyze the calculated results to find out which indicators have a greater impact on product impact. Through hotspot analysis, we will identify the projects with priority improvement and provide direction for manufacturers to improve. We hope that in the future product design, we can start to improve the action from the design side and reduce the impact on the environment.
