Teachers'Evaluation on Long-Middle Plan for Aesthetic Education in Taipei Elementary School

Popis: | 105 Aesthetic education brings along culture and creativity, which not only cultivates personal mind, but also brings huge business opportunities, has become a global trend in education. Taiwan authorities has implemented aesthetic education policy for many years, the purpose of this study will explore elementary school teachers’ awareness, assessment and evaluation to the long-middle aesthetic education program. By means of literature research and stratified sampling, 636 questionnaires were sent to elementary school teachers in Taipei City, whereas 488 valid questionnaires were collected. The results were studied by descriptive statistics, independent sample T test, one-way analysis of variance and Pearson product-moment correlation, the conclusions are as follows: 1.Elementary school teachers’ awareness and assessment to the long-middle aesthetic education program is rated mid to high degree. 2.Elementary school teachers’ evaluation to the long-middle aesthetic education policy is rated mid to high degree. 3.The awareness and assessment to the long-middle aesthetic education shows significant difference among teachers with different background, including teacher training course, college major department, job position and teaching area. 4.The evaluation to the long-middle aesthetic education policy shows significant difference among teachers with different background, including age, service year, college major department, job position and teaching area. 5.There is a significant mid level positive correlation between the awareness and assessment to the long-middle aesthetic education and the evaluation to the the long-middle aesthetic education policy by elementary school teachers. Based on the research results, recommendations are made as a reference to the educational administration units, educational practitioners and future researchers.
