| Popis: | 105 Alberto Ginastera (1916-1983) was one of the most prominent Latin-American composers in the 20th century. This thesis focuses on Ginastera’s brief biography, compositional styles, and his use of Argentinean folk music material. Through studying and analyzing Ginastera’s Pampeana No.1, Rhapsody for Violin and Piano, Op. 16, my intention is to show his unique style. The year 2016 celebrates Ginastera’s centennial, I hope this thesis will bring more exposure and attention to his music. |
