In recent years, the manufacturing industry is facing an unpredictable and rapidly changing market demand, including the diversity of products, high quality, short delivery time and variability of customer demand. In response to the current environment, the manufacturing industry must design a system that not only produces low-cost, high-quality products, but also fast response quickly to market and consumers’ demand. The flexibility (i.e., machine flexibility, mix flexibility, production flexibility, routing flexibility, etc.) of flexible manufacturing system (FMS), flexible transfer line (FTL) and failure mode analysis/repair (FMA/R) applied the building blocks technology in fulfilling the manufacturing type and the consumers’ demand. In this study, the simulation software FlexSim will be used as a tool to consider the modular components, which can be quickly executed on the computer and reliably establish the expected or actual system behavior. The modularization concept is introduced in the manufacturing system. The modeling mode is simulated by the modular components, and the parameters are set to meet the requirements of the production line. The system architecture is clearly identified and the simulation construction time of the manufacturing system is shortened. And reduce the error messages that occur during construction.
