Corporate social responsibility and short-term and long-term stock price: Evidence from listed firms in Taiwan

| Popis: | 105 This study examines the relation between corporate social responsibility (CSR) and stock price. The study collects research data of listed firms in Taiwan from Corporate Citizenship Award conferred by Common Wealth Magazine over the period from 2007 to 2015. We use matched samples and Ordinary least squares (OLS) to examine the relation between CSR and stock price. The empirical finding shows that (1) CSR has a positive impact on long-term returns. (2) corporate governance, corporate commitment, social participation and environmental protection have a significant positive impact on the long-term and short-term returns. |
