Popis: | 105 This study mainly investigated female cram school teachers’ career developments and work adjustments. Because of the current studies about cram school teachers in eastern Taiwan are few. Therefore, as a researcher I want to know the interviewees how to decide the direction of their career and balance the relationship between work and mental condition. I also want to figure out the role which they played and their values as female cram school teachers. I wish this study can find out something different from female cram school teachers’ stories. This study will use narrative inquiry as a research method and I have the conclusions in below: 1. The career development of female cram school teachers is limited because they might lack of choices and be forced to change or convert; however, they still can show female toughness and develop their career. 2. The female cram school teachers play the roles which run through in the three aspects including education, society and mentality. Although the requests of cram school teachers are less strict than school teachers, female cram school teachers still have their concrete goals and consciousness in their jobs. 3. The female cram school teachers’ value can divide into two parts that is passive and proactive. Passive values come from the external environment and the values will be incremented or be reduced easily. However, the proactive values can be observed by their depictions and be long lasting. 4. The female cram school teachers tend to be influenced by others’ suggestions. In fact, by accepting others’ advices can help them to determine their careers sometimes. 5. The work adjustment of female cram school teachers is depending on the positive mentality. In addition to the work environment can achieve work performance, the positive mentality and personality also can change the attitude toward work. The positive mentality can help female cram school teachers when they face the frustrations and adjust to works effectively. Key word:female cram school teacher、career development、work adjustment |
