It is an important task to investigate the safety of the aged bridge, especially, for those are still in operation. A nonlinear structural analyses, the pushover analysis, is commonly used for the examination of the bridge safety and is adopted here. One of the key element in the pushover analysis method is to define, the plastic hinges configuration for a frame structure which is one of the focuses of this study. Another investigated target is the deterioration effect of the pier that caused by corrosion. Flood-induced damage is often found in Taiwan. Therefore, the performance of scoured bridge is investigated. It is known that uncertainties in the soil property may affect the examination results. Thus, different soil modelings are used. The fragility curve of the bridge is established to predict the failure probability of the bridge. Results show that the failure probability of the bridge is higher than expected under the design acceleration of 0.28g.
