Taichung Culture Creative Park’s initial development is mainly brewery. After the reconstruction, several architecture and facilities are still not compatible with modern law. There are still inconveniences for the zone of the signage system, it has to be reviewed and discussed again. Also, use the system to apply on different guests’ behaviors and demands, along with inspecting the design for the Art& culture exhibition area’s indicator system. This study is based on the signage system for the outdoor recreation area of Taichung Cultural Creative Park, using the pathfinding perspective to further research the project. Through literature studies, recent investigations, observing pathfinding behavior and surveys as researching methods, to universally design the basic principles for study criteria. Additionally, use the signage system of the park’s current situation, user’s characteristic and subject’s behavior for further observation and unification. The results of this study follow as: 1.Through the current investigation, the park uses the “illustrative indicator system” the most (possess 32.1%). Because there are regular exhibition and activities in the park, it requires a massive description for the guests to understand the details, also to the reach the targeted amount of publicities at the same time. 2.According to the results of observing pathfinding behavior, most of the subjects (72.7%) examine the indicator during the process of path finding. However, in the park, the quantity of the similar signage is relatively low (7.1%). Additionally, when detours occur, most of the subjects (83.3%) assume the main reason is the indicators are hard to identify. 3.Through the evaluation of the PPP users’ questionnaire, both male and female subjects at the age of 15~44-year-old, in regard to the universal designed principle of the park’s signage system “even if the instructions are wrong, it will still have no effects on the users or the environment” still scores the highest. Between the age of 45~64-year-old subjects, male subjects have more compatibility towards “economical and endurable” indicator rather than “high-quality with attractive appearance”, while the female subjects contain opposite thoughts for the indicator. 4.The recommendations for improvement will consider recreating the signage system and construct additional equipment for support. Additionally, set up a clear identification with strong guidance for pathfinding. Lastly, use the “Designed guidance for the park’s universal outdoor signage system” to provide an all-round signage system that matches the behavior for different types of guests, and exceed the ideal and achieve the improved design for the indicators in the park.
