| Popis: | 105 This thesis investigates the announcement effects of corporate donation on the stock price in Taiwan stock exchange. We use the stock price series from January 2013 to December 2016. Event study is used to analyze whether the abnormal returns appears before and after announcement of corporate donation. We find that the corporate giving causes the abnormal returns in stock price, but the effects will disappear after two periods. In addition, we find that CEO-affiliate donations will cause the negative abnormal returns of stock price. This outcome suggest that investors may suspect the misuses of corporate resources. |
