| Popis: | 105 The contents of this thesis, are based on the title of “Simple of Heart - An Interpretations of Wei-Chi Liao’s Metalsmithing Creation” in which the application and creation of metal craft are discussed. According to this thesis, the author is intending to introduce the concepts of reality as well as nihility on the topic of space in the works of art and modeling. I hope the imagination and significance could be acquired from the craft and nature. As well, I want to realize the philosophy of reality and nihility could be inspired by the metalsmithing during my hand making and forging process. Based on the title of “Simple of Heart - An Interpretations of Wei-Chi Liao’s Metalsmithing Creation”, it will disclose the application of my metalsmithing, and the transforming formats between the materiality and metaphysics. This thesis is divided by five chapters in which the specific theory of creation will be presented through some works selected. Chapter One: Introduction: Introducing the origin, motivation and purpose of my study and writing. Actually, author is pursuing the life of metalsmithing and feeling the sense of happiness from the touch of nature since young age. I do hope to seize the inspiration and to transform the imagination for the metalsmithing creation. Chapter Two: Documentation: Searching the study subjects including the nature beauty, space allocation, the philosophy of reality and nihility, the Zen’s practice, meditation and the interpretation of arts. Appreciating the renowned modern sculptor Yu Yu Yang(1926~1997) and enjoying his thoughts and minds within the sculptures. Disclosing the relationship between the mentioned subjects. Learning the ancient philosophic book of “Tao Te Ching”, modern philosophic concept of Martin Heidegger(1889 ~ 1976) artist Jean Philippe Arthur Dubuffet(1901 ~ 1985) who promotes the Art Brut, and Japanese Scholar D. T. Suzuki(1870 ~ 1966) who advocates the Mysticism. Moreover, to share and enjoy the modern metalsmithing works and their outstanding theory like artists Hiroshi Suzuki(1961~) and David Huang(1971~), for example. Chapter Three: Theory of Creation: Description and interpretations on my work of “Simple of Heart”. Chapter Four: Sharing and enjoying the selected works. Chapter Five: Conclusion: Making a brief conclusion on my metalsmithing works, prevailing my personal hope of forthcoming creation, and continuing creation in a near future. |
