Study of Attention Degree in Beauty of Architecture Under Fixed Cost

| Popis: | 105 People always sacrifice the beauty of architecture to increate the space and get the self-benefit in Taiwan. It violate the compulsory educaion of five discipline and especially hit the art teacher hard. The development of building industry create the nowadays townscape under the miracle economic development in Taiwan. Designers hope to create the praised works by racking their brain and contributing their learning. The clients always ask the designer to adjust the design due to the limited budget. In the beginning of construction project¸ client prepare the construction fee and set the principle of application of budget is to control the total cost below fix amount and avoid to increase or decrease construction items. If the cost exceed the budget, the whole project will fall into the crisis of lossing control. It let designer hard to make a desicion which item will be sacrificed first, beauty of architecture, engineering or structure. The purpose of this study is by using the research method of Analytic Network Process (ANP) to research: 1. The difference on the focus items of beauty, engineering and structure by people. 2. If it match on the focus items between architecture supplier (design & constructor) and demander (user) Survey of expert questionnaire of ANP reveal: The client give priority to comfort & convenience of engineering upon the criteria of decision when he try to build a satisfied building under limited cost, in contrast the elegant environment and a light building is the less opinion. Finish & tile are two focus items in option of aesthetic works. People's perspective on the beauty of facade on a building should be taken care by designer and constructor. And the designer and constructor also are confident of doing better aesthetic works if they can get more construction budget. The facade of building generally is not felt good in Taiwan. Except the designer need to work hard on design quality, government should educate people to pay attention to the historical and cultural beauty, to promote the quality of the existing building and to face the importance of aesthetic works. They also need to revise the concept that cheap is the best and encourage people to attach great importance to the value of architecture aesthetic and to transform the townscape. This study suggested that the budget on beauty of architecture is only 5~6% of whole con-struction budget. It occupies a small part of the budget only, but the influences on environ-mental landscape of entire city is so significantly. If the owner can increate a few of budget on the beauty of architecture. It will fundamentally improve the environmental landscape of entire city. |
