| Popis: | 105 Four Siao Liouciou retired fishermen were participated in this study. In-depth interviewing was conducted by the researcher. Taking time as the axis, the purpose of this research was to inquiry the reason of going fishing on the sea, career development process, retirement decision and retired life and based on the conclusions give relevant suggestions. The results were summarized as follows:(1) Career choices are influenced by the environmental factors of surrounding by the sea and the family-related factors, such as Social and economic status, Father's occupation and the order of birth; Personal ability and preference are not the factor to consider.(2) Career development is very early, after the completion of elementary education; there is no opportunity for formal vocational education, and learning on board matters depends on experience (3)"Captain" is the ultimate goal during career development process to pursue, all of the interviewees were captains before the age of 30.(4) The decision to retire is influenced by the larger environment, including depletion of fisheries resources, the political situation is unstable, prices soared and hard to manage foreign crews, retirement decisions are mostly driven by frustration; the economy is the most important consideration when they decide to retire.(5)Retirement life is generally good, including good health, economic stability and enjoys happiness of a family union; only to adapt to the time planning and the second employment. According to the findings, make suggestions to government、 Siao Liouciou local government、retired fishermen and their family, and future Researchers. |
