Popis: | 105 In this research, growth effects of using nucleotide and probiotics as compound feed additives on Anguilla marmorata and Epinephelus coioides is investigated. This LBC compound feed additive is composed of nucleotide, Enterococcus faecium, SF68, multiple vitamins and other water-soluble additives, wherein the SF68 has been widely applied to studies on improving development and immunity of different animal species. In the experiment, such compound feeds with 5 different concentrations, which respectively are 0%, 0.5%, 1%, 2% and 4%, were continuously added to basal feeds given to the Anguilla marmorata and Epinephelus coioides. After 6 weeks, the growth indicators of the experimental groups were compared. The current research outcome demonstrates that feed conversion rate (FCR) of the Anguilla marmorata in the 4% addition group, which is the lowest, while the 0% addition group gives the highest FCR. No significant variance is showed among these 5 concentration groups. On the other hand, weight gain (WG) for the 4% addition group is the highest, whereas the 0.5% addition group shows the lowest WG. The 4% addition group gives most significant variance among the groups. With regards to Epinephelus coioides, the FCR of the 2% addition group is the lowest, whereas the FCR of the 0% addition group, which is the highest among the groups The WG of 4% addition groups is the highest among the groups, whereas the 0% addition group gives the lowest WG. For Epinephelus coioides, no significant differences are showed in FCR and WG among the groups. However, compared to the control group, the experiment data shows a tendency that the higher the concentration of LBC addition, the higher the WG is but the lower the FCR is. According to protease activity analysis, no significant changes are identified in Anguilla marmorata groups, whereas, significant raises are found in 1%, 2% and 4% addition of the Epinephelus coioides groups. Length of microvilli in intestine of both Anguilla marmorata and Epinephelus coioides shows significant difference at the 4% addition. During the experiment, Anguilla marmorata groups show 100% of survival rate, whilst the survival rate of the Epinephelus coioides groups of 0%, 0.5%, 1%, 2% and 4% from low to high are 63%, 70%, 80%, 80%, and 86%, respectively. In the protease activity analysis, significant changes are showed in the 4% addition of both Anguilla marmorata and Epinephelus coioides, while the intestine microvilli length is also the longest in the 4% addition groups of both Anguilla marmorata and Epinephelus coioides and shows significant differences among the groups. In conclusion, addition of 2% and 4% compound feed additives could effectively increase protease activity and length of intestine microvilli to enhance the growth and raise the survival rate. Noticeably, the Enterococcus faecium, SF68 is only active for 4 to 5 days in intestines of a fish and hence, should be regularly supplemented in aquaculture application. |
