The purpose of this research is to explore the core competence required for interior decoration industry. Through relevant research literature to explore the importance and satisfaction of customer to the core competence of the enterprise. Then get the core competence and development direction of the enterprise which in the competitive environment. China’s economic development in the recently twenty years has driven the market for real estate and interior decoration industry.Cause the industry competition becoming more and more fierce.Facing the competitiveness of market,enterprises must explore their core competencies and capabilities in order to stand market and survive.Therefore, according to the research background and motivation, this research will focus on the following four aspects: (1) Understand the value of service items within the interior design company, and the degree of importance and satisfaction for consumers. (2) Understand the priority sequence of value improvement in the interior design company service items. (3) Understand the core competence of interior design companies. (4) Construct the management opportunity grid for the interiordecoration company. Thenmake specific proposals to improve the interior design company, and make a competition strategy for the future of the industry. Through the application management opportunity grid and the simultaneous analysis of important and performance, evaluate and compare the importance to each value item of customers, the performance of the enterprise and the performance satisfaction of the main competitors simultaneously. Then understand the cognitive gap between customers and company, and put forward improvements for its shortcomings.
