A Study on Motivation of IPO and Operation Performance:Case for Aerospace Industry

| Popis: | 105 Company listed at stock exchange market or at over-the counter market is the first step for many enterprises to take, and it is also an important choice and milestone for them. With the gradual expansion of company’s operational efficiency and business scale and under the concept of sustainable operation, getting funds from the capital market becomes inevasible. Before IPO, the entrepreneur has to face a series of evaluation and choices while making and implementing the plans for listing. In different industries and backgrounds, the entrepreneur accordingly makes very diverse choices and consideration, especially comparing with other industries, the characteristic of the aerospace industry is very different from others, so that the demand and the necessity are relatively distinct. In this study, from the literature review seven motivations are searched out, and case study method is used to analyze the listing motivations and operational performance of aerospace industry. Two homogeneous listing companies were selected through purposeful sampling. Aero Win Technology Co. (Stock code: 8222) and Magnate Technology Co., Ltd.(stock code: 4541) are the main research objects for case study, for collecting secondary information, including ancillary or historical information, and by doing business interviews to assist in the verification. With respect to company listing, seven motivations are closely linked and affected each other even inseparable, but there are still differences between primary and secondary motivations. Aerospace industry is an industry which requires high capital and long-term management, although IPO can bring benefits for the company, it may also affect the long-term business strategy or cause the problem of too fast expansion and so on. Therefore, how to control and manage it to achieve the best balance, which is an important issue for Aviation companies to take account into while listing. |
