In this study, lines with bacterial blight resistance (BBR), strong stem and good quality would be bred by crossing of Koshihikari and a BC2F4 line derived from Tainan 11//Tainan 11/IRBB66 (IRBB66 is with five BBR genes containing xa5, Xa7, xa13 and Xa21). The F2 population was tested by inoculation of BBD strain Xoof2. The distribution of lesion length and heading date were observed. RGNMS 2007(xa5), RM20582 (Xa7), RM20591 (Xa7), RM23515 (xa13), RM23510 (xa13), RM26914 (Xa21) and RM26930 (Xa21) have been used for BBR genes selection. RM8120 (on chromosome 2) and RM3515 (on chromosome 6) are quality QTLs associated markers were also used. Fifty plants with two homozygous BBR genes, two homozygous rice quality QTLs markers and two heterozygous BBR genes were selected and utilized to derive F4. In the first crop season of 2016, ANOVA analysis has been utilized for analyzing the effect of rice lines and bacteria strain. The results suggested that both rice lines and bacteria strain show significant influence. It could be expected that rice lines meet the breeding goals would be planted in the first crop season of 2017.
