In order to prove that traditional craft is never disappear in the contemporary age, but transformed into different patterns of cultural production and consumption, the thesis offers three types of craft: enterprise, community and creative park. In studying three cases, which are Tittot, Pingtan community and Eslite Spectrum of Songyan, the researcher compared their histories, origins, and further, their ways of dismantling and rebuilding the framework of craft (“craftsman spirit”, “labor”, “consumption” and “cultural continuity”). Moreover, the researcher found that these cases have different developments in shaping the “craftsmanship”, towards three regimes of craft: (1) industrialization (standard production procedure), (2) communitization (local cultural space renewability), and (3) clusterization (demonstrating urban cultural economy). Eventually, they established multiple paths and diverse visions for Taiwan craft.
