A Study on the Elementary School Teachers' Intention and Satisfaction toward Online Students' Academic Performance Management System in Tainan

This study aims to investigate the relationship between the user’s intention and satisfaction toward online students’ academic performance management system of elementary school teachers in Tainan City. And the factors that affect this relationship are also included. The study is on the basis of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and with the extension of Information System Success Model (ISSM) to understand the real using situation of online students’ academic performance management system and to compare to the differences when elementary school teachers in Tainan use academic management system in different background variables. The study took 450 elementary school teachers and substitute teachers in Tainan as an object of study. Self-made questionnaire was adopted in this study to examine the user’s intention and satisfaction toward online students’ academic performance management system of elementary school teachers in Tainan City. 378 copies were retrieved for analysis. The statistical methods involved descriptive statistics analysis, independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson product-moment correlation analysis and regression analysis. A series of systematic analysis could provide developers who are responsible for academic management system, schools, and next researchers for reference. Some findings were provided as follows: 1. There’s no obvious differences for facets in personal background (gender, age, the highest academic degree), but years of teaching caused significant differences in perceived usefulness. The position caused apparent differences on other facets except service quality. 2. Information quality and system quality had positive and significant influences on “perceived usefulness” and “perceived ease of use”, but the same influences didn’t happened on the service quality. 3. Moderately positive correlated was between perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Between perceived usefulness and user’s satisfaction, there was highly positive correlated. And perceived usefulness and user’s satisfaction reached moderately positive correlated. 4. There’s significant moderately positive correlated between user’s intention and satisfaction.
