A Case Study on I-Kuan Tao Followers' View on Life and Death in The Xing-Yi Nan- Xing Tao Society.

Popis: | 105 This study is based on the I-Kuan Tao meaning of “life and death concept” and the course of practice. Under the uncertainty of the intimacy of death and the uncertainty of various death situations, how to face death and better understand death and enhance its face the ability to adjust to death. Through the exploration of this study, we can understand the “stopping reincarnation returning to Heaven after death” concept of I-Kuan Tao relatives for “life and death idea”. There are 415 valid sample data collected from Tao relatives of Xing-Yi Nan-Xing Tao society, using self-developed survey questionnaires and personal interviews. Data analyses are conducted that include descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, ANOVA with post hoc analysis, Pearson correlation analysis, and multiple regression using SPSS 22 for Window. The findings are as follows: 1.I-Kuan Tao has positive perceptions in life and death concepts: the identity of the “display of life and death concepts” is the highest, followed by “belief”, “demand for life and death education”, and “the attitude toward death.” These four factors correlate with each other positively. 2.“Attitude toward death” of Male Tao relatives is higher than females, indicating that males perceive death more acceptable than females do. 3.Older Tao relatives perceive higher on I-Kuan Tao “belief”, “attitude toward death”, and the “display of life and death”. 4.Married Tao relatives perceive higher on I-Kuan Tao “belief” than do the unmarried ones. 5.Tao relatives with older “Tao receiving age” perceive higher on I-Kuan Tao “belief” and “attitude toward death.” 6.Tao relatives with longer “Ching Ko age” have a higher piety of I-Kuan Tao “belief”. 7.The beliefs of the central and southern Taiwan Tao societies are higher than that of the northern Taiwan Tao Society. The “attitude toward death” of the central Taiwan Tao Societies is higher than that of the northern Taiwan Tao Society. The “identity of the display of life and death concept” of the southern Taiwan Society is higher than that of the northern Taiwan Society. 8.The “display of life and death concepts” for I-Kuan Tao is positively influenced by Tao “belief”, “attitude toward death”, and “demand for life and death education.” “Demand of Tao relatives for life and death education” is affected by “belief”, and “attitude toward death”. “Attitude toward death” of Tao relatives is affected by “belief”.
