The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship among meditation experiences(duration of meditation, the frequency, duration of each practice) of college students, life stress and well-bing. In order to understand with or without meditation experiences, as well as its duration of meditation, frequency and duration of each practice, the influence toward life stress and well-being for college students. Survey data were collected from 224 valid samples through convenience sampling. The data were analyzed by statistical methods of t-test, one-way ANOVA, Person product-moment correlation and stepwise multiple regression. The results found that meditation experiences and life stress, well-being are of indeed significantly correlated. Furthermore, the life stress felt by college students who have had meditation experiences are lower. However, the well-bing of those college students with or without meditation experiences are not significantly different, only the well-being of group “31min. or more” are higher than group “without experience”. Regression analysis showed that the duration of meditation makes significant influence on well-being only when college students under the status of low life stress. With the status of high life stress, the quality of meditation are not as good as those with low life stress. Therefore there is no significant influence on well-bing. In conclusion, make discussion based on the results of this study and make suggestions for future study as reference.
