Faster Fourier Transfer (FFT) is widely applied in digital signal processing and communication systems. The proposed FFT circuit is based on a memory-based SDF radix-2, applying multiple counters as the memory positions and judging each control signal. Also, the dual memory mode is applied to make the data and results of butterfly operation can be accessed at same time to improve overall working speed. The proposed FFT circuit is built by Verilog hardware description language, developed and implemented in LabVIEW. The data used is obtained from MatLab. 2048 numbers of sin wave data are produced by MatLab and then be sent to ModelSim, MatLab and LabVIEW FPGA. The simulation and actual FPGA operation are implemented to verify the feasibility of this paper.
