Popis: | 105 Internet addiction is a severe disorder in many countries in the world. Internet addiction may produce much comorbidity including depression, anxiety, and compulsive behaviors. The present study addressed the relationship of Internet addiction and its comorbidity such as depression and anxiety and concerned whether the sex factor played an important role in Internet addiction. All of participants were assessed by Chinese Internet Addiction Scale, Beck Depression Inventory Scale, Beck Anxiety Inventory Scale, and Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale to screen low and high Internet addiction participants and evaluate the strengths of depression, anxiety, and compulsive behaviors. The results indicated that a factor of sex did not involve in the Internet addiction. Significant differences occurred at the factor of Internet addiction. Sex and Internet addiction were not interactive. Internet addiction had significant differences for depression and compulsive behaviors, but not anxiety behavior for low and high Internet addiction. To Pearson test, Internet addiction was positively correlated with depression and compulsive behaviors. However, Internet addiction was not significant correlated with anxiety behavior. The findings of the present study can provide some insights to understand the comorbidity of Internet addiction in clinical. |
