Popis: | 105 When everyone in the world focus on the Mediterranean refugee crisis, Asia at this moment has a very serious refugee problems as well. They are Asian Muslim of the Rohingya ethnic groups. Because of the long-term persecution of the Myanmar government, they have been forced to leave their long-lived home, far away to the neighboring countries to survive. The Rohingya ethnic groups, to search a better living conditions, to escape from conflict and persecution, have made many countries to take a hardline stand against the irregular movement of the population for security problems. As more migrants are held in administrative detention or repatriated to their countries of origin, the costs of managing migration are also rising, many challenges appeared. From a human rights perspective, countries should work together to develop bilateral solutions. Therefore, this paper explores the problems and difficult situation of Rohingya ethnic groups, which should be discussed by international community, and will explore the future of this ethnic. It will be concluded by suggestions for the Myanmar government. This paper is divided into six chapters, each chapter has the purpose; Chapter 1: Introduction. It will explain the motivation and purpose of this study, including research methods and the limitations of the study. Chapter 2: International Migration Theory and International Regulations on human rights. Through the review of international migration theory and international regulations on human rights, the paper can analyse the attitude of these countries in dealing with international refugee problems under domestic politics and policies. Chapter 3: Reasons of Rohingya Refugee Problems. From the ethnic, religious and political aspects of the Myanmar government on the Rohingya ethnic group, this study wants to explore the process and the impact. Chapter 4: Analysis of the Difficult Situation the Rohingya groups faced. This chapter mainly analyzes the identity, nationality and displacement of the Rohingya refugees in Myanmar. It will also discuss the problem of human trafficking happened in Southeast. Chapter 5: Relevant Countries and International Organizations' Responses and Attitudes. It mainly analyzes the attitudes and policies of the refugees in Southeast Asian countries such as Bangladesh, Malaysia and Thailand. Also, it will explore the attitudes and position of the UNHCR, ASEAN, the United States and the European Union, on the Rohingya refugee problems. Chapter 6: Conclusions and Suggestions. It will summarize the findings of each chapter and making some suggestions for Southeast Asian countries and relevant international organizations on the issue of refugee resettlement. |
