Design and fabrication of ZnO/polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) as conduction channels for double-gate thin film transistors

Double-gate thin film transistors (TFTs) based on ZnO/PVA as conducting channels were designed and fabricated by glue and assembly methods. The ZnO/PVA composite films were produced by gluing PVA(aq) on the sputtered ZnO film deposited on ITO. Different TFT devices were fabricated by the combinations of ZnO, PVA(aq) films and characterized by the I-V data analysis. Results show that p-channel and n-channel TFTs were performed by fabricating different structures of ZnO/PVA films in the devices. The best n-TFT performance was produced in the structure of ZnO/PVA/ZnO in the device. The ZnO/PVA-based TFTs can be designed and fabricated by the simple glue and assembly approaches. The device performance can be further improved by the advance of design and fabrication methods.
