A Study on Construction of Indicators of Leadership for Learning for Principles

The purpose of this study is to construct indicators of leadership for learning for principles, and explore the importance among those indicators. The Fuzzy Delphi Method is used in this study as main research methods. Adopted from a questionnaire named “Questionnaire on the Construction of Indicators of Leadership for Learning for Principles.” This research invites 30 samples, who are scholars in the field of leadership for learning by principles and principles of elementary schools in Taipei City. Then, this research uses double triangle fuzzy technique to select the indicators. Findings obtained through the above research method are as follows: 1. The indicator system of the leadership for learning for principles consists of 5 dimensions and 46 indicators. 2. The 5 dimensions in the indicator system of the leadership for learning for principles includes to establish the learning vision for students, to focus on the learning performance of students, to create the learning environment for students, to facilitate the growth of teacher’s professions and shared accountability. Among these dimensions, to create the learning environment for students is the most important. 3. There are 10 indicators in the “to establish the learning vision for students” dimension, and “1-6 realize the learning vision into the specific action via lessons and activities” is the most important indicator among these indicators. 4. There are 9 indicators in the “to focus on the learning performance of students” dimension, and “2-8 encourage teachers to teach effectively to satisfy the learning needs of different students” is the most important indicator among these indicators. 5. There are 8 indicators in the “to create the learning environment for students” dimension, and “3-8 provide students a safe and healthy environment, and construct the positive learning culture” is the most important indicator among these indicators. 6. There are 11 indicators in the “to facilitate the growth of teacher’s professions” dimension, and “4-9 help teachers improve their teaching quality to enhance students’ learning performances” is the most important indicator among these indicators. 7. There are 8 indicators in the “shared accountability” dimension, and “5-4 evaluate students’ learning performances regularly to improve teachers’ teaching methods” is the most important indicator among these indicators. Based on above conclusions, this study provides some suggestions for the educational administrative organization, principles and future studies.
