A Study on the Empowerment and Communication of Local Community-Gajigog Hakka Rice Cake Festival at Miaoli

| Popis: | 104 Summary The original name of Jiasheng in Miaoli City is " Gajigog". It used to be a location named as Jiasheng for those Gajigog aborigine. Nowadays, in Jiasheng residents still lead the traditional farming life. However, because for the changes in the structure of industrial, the decline happened in the community, the aging population becoming serious, Jiasheng gradually turns into a withering village. In order to improve this situation, the residents hold the Jiasheng community festival- Gajigog Ban Chai- to heritage the food culture of Hakka, and moreover to improve the local industry, and to increase community cohesion. In this study, from the concept of community, including community empowerment, civic participation and community stepped dissemination to do a case study in Jiasheng community. This study analyze the community capacity-through estimate the degree of involvement in community for rural regeneration planning. Moreover, exploring the media,-" Gajigog Ban Chai Festival", to find out how to promote community interaction and culture through Ban Chai festival participation and cultural connotations grains to spread Hakka culture. This study adopts depth interview and participant observation. The former is to interview the important managers and residents in the community, the later is to record the research data through participant observation " Gajigog Ban Chai Festival" to learn festivals in the community roles and functions, the main findings of this study are as following: First, the participation of Jiasheng Community citizen has already reached the elementary stage of fully participation, but the civil power and self-management are still weak. Second, members of the Jiasheng Community Development Association are lack of ability to write programs. Third, Jiasheng Community produces industry-academy cooperation with Yu Da University, but human resources tend to be aging. Fourth, the motive of Jiasheng Community citizen participating rural regeneration is in order to improve community public works, discover local community identities to promote industrial development, and balance the urban-rural gap. Fifth, " Gajigog Ban Chai Festival" spreads its festival information through concrete propaganda, interpersonal communication and electronic media. Sixth, Jiasheng Community takes advantage of science technology and originality to pass down festival culture, and gets great effects.
