Popis: | 104 Chen Yi, one of the prominent composers in the world today, composed a trio Ning for pipa, violin, and cello. The Ning, based on the Chinese folk song Mo Li Hua (Jasmine Flower), is a composition with new acoustic combinations through the conflict and communications among these three musical instruments. The study, through the probe into Chen Yi’s life story as well as related composing backgrounds, the interview with her, and then the musical analysis and the clarification of materials, figures out how each musical line works and the relationship among the three instruments, and further discusses how to make an acoustic balance among the three and to better control the versatile performing skills in order to get closer to the musical imagery composer wants to express. Pipa, as a Chinese traditional instrument, is attractive and has applied by many composers into various musical forms recently, such as Ning. Through the analysis and interpretations, it is also expected to be a reference for the future Ning performers. |
