| Popis: | 104 Teaching effectiveness evaluation has been used in a large number of colleges; it is considered as one of the bases for evaluating global performance of a teacher. To evaluate teaching effectiveness, many aspects and indicators should be considered. However, the evaluation is usually subjectively judged by students and the assessment results may not be accepted by teachers. This kind of evaluation may cause some problems. If teachers give high score or do not assign difficult works to students, they may receive higher scores. Consequently teachers may have respect for students; neither learning quality for students nor teaching effectiveness for teachers can be gained in class. In this study, we have students of a department of leisure and sports management in a university as our particiants. This department is a pioneer to use the concept of course groups and module groups in course selection for students. Since it is the pioneer, no similar course structure for reference exists so far in Taiwan. To prevent from slecting the wrong course module or unnecessary courses in a module, we urgently require a teaching effectiveness evaluation system that is suitable to this department. This study uses fuzzy theory to develop a teaching effectiveness evaluation system that can help teachers understand students’ learning levels rapidly. By means of the system analysis, teachers can re-arrange the teaching schedule according to the self-learning evaluation by students; teachers can also adjust the course content to improve the teaching effectiveness. Moreover, using formative assessment to evaluate students’ learning quality can be used in an early alert system for students in the midterm. When the semester finishes, the system will automatically transfer the evaluation content and learning values into the portfolio database for future use. The experimental result shows that the proposed system is quite practical and of great value. |
