A study of raw food in the Tainan agriculture education in food miles

Food miles meaning is "the food from the production, and transport until delivery to consumers." Food miles are used to understand how an assessment of the environmental impact of food production factors, especially long-distance food transport must use energy to drive the transport or storage of foods, increase greenhouse gas emissions, it will also influence the extent of global warming。 This study aimed to investigate the backgrounds of Tainan Junior high agricultural education in food miles of cognitive status, attitudes and behavior, and understand the background of agricultural education in the fresh food miles in knowledge, attitude and behavior of the effects, as well as fresh food miles in agricultural education awareness, the correlation between attitudes and behavior.This study used questionnaires, with the self, "eat food miles in rural education research" questionnaire as a research tool, purposive sampling for the students in Tainan City, in the metropolitan area, rural area school students study and use SPSS21.0 software for descriptive statistics, independent-samples t test and Pearson product-moment correlation, statistical analysis, major findings: 1.Fresh food miles in agricultural education, research object cognition, there is room for improvement; positive attitude positive; performances as well. 2.The effect of fresh food miles in agricultural education to study cognitive background variables of gender, father's occupation, place of residence patterns and other significant differences; the background variables showed significant differences in grade; background variables of gender, grade, mother's occupation, like the subject of significant differences. 3. Fresh food miles in overall agricultural education to study cognition and general attitude; general attitude and behavior were significantly positively correlated. Finally, and in accordance with the conclusions of the study, the researchers made specific recommendations expected to be providing fresh food miles in agricultural education related entity education and research references in the future.
