A Study on Tourists' Satisfaction of the Adaptive Reuse in Vacant Spaces - A Case Study of the Pier-2 Art Center in Kaohsiung

| Popis: | 104 The vacant spaces result in the waste of the land resources; we should change the use of the existing space into reuse. We try to activate the existing space in order to achieve the goal - “Apply what the lands possess; share what the lands produce.” The research applied the Pier-2 Art Center in Kaohsiung as a case study to discuss the satisfaction and willingness to revisit of the Pier-2 Art Center with questionnaires, sampling from the visitors and collecting 503 valid responses. The view environment, service facilities, recreation facilities, management and maintaining were selected as the constructs in the research. Descriptive statistics, T-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation and regression analysis were adopted for statistic analysis with SPSS 20.0 The results suggest that visitors regard “the whole commodious space” as the highest satisfaction; the lowest one is “the conveniences of parking.” Visitor satisfaction can predict the willingness to revisit; that is the higher satisfaction of visitors, the more willingness revisit for them. We hope our research could offer the references for the city government or the managers of the Pier-2 Art Center in Kaohsiung. |
