The Triband Bandpass Filter on WiFi and ZigBee Applications and the Diplexer on Radar and Satellite Communications

Multi-band bandpass filters and/or diplexers are one of the essential elements in modern communication systems. In this study, we present a triband bandpass filter designed for WiFi and ZigBee applications and a diplexer used for radar and satellite communication systems. The proposed bandpass filter is composed of integrated plug-in structures and stepped impedance resonators. The center frequencies of the filter are located at 2.45/5.00/4.00 GHz. The filter has good selectivity. In addition, the filter is compact in size with a circuit area of 0.05 × 0.06 λg2. The filter has a very wide stopband. The proposed duplexer is composed of asymmetrical step impedance structures using a parallel coupling technology. The center frequencies of the diplex are located at 7.7/8.5 GHz. The isolation of the diplexer is better than -40dB. In addition, the passbands of the diplexer have low insertion losses. Transmission zeros are located near the edges of each passband to improve its selectivity. All transmission zeros has attenuation better than -30dB.
