Study on The Status of Improve Berth Allocation Operation in Kaohsiung Port

| Popis: | 104 This study aims to understand the current berth allocation operation and improve the discovered berth allocation problems in Kaohsiung port. For this purpose, a questionnaire with 13 questions involving service levels of Kaohsiung port is designed and a user survey is conducted. The 13 questions are designed to investigate the service levels in terms of berth allocation system support, berth coordination meeting, berthing information provided and staff service of Kaohsiung port. After analyzing the returned questionnaires by using the importance performance analysis (IPA), the importance and priority of each question item are understood. Our results indicate that improving the information quality of mooring bollards for berthed ships and improving the berth waiting time for calling ships are two priority tasks. The results of this study can be referenced by Kaohsiung port for improvement. |
