The purposes of this study are to investigate the effects of differentiated instruction and cooperative learning on learning motivation, attitude, peer interaction, and learning outcomes of 31 seven graders in Taoyuan. The method of this study is action research. The study conducted both quantitative analysis and qualitative methods, included questionnaire, achievement tests, reflections and interviews. The author used t-test to the questionnaire and descriptive data analysis on learning outcomes. The findings are as follows: 1. Differentiated instruction and cooperative learning can elevate different learners’ learning ability. 2. Differentiated instruction and cooperative learning can elevate learning motivation and attitude. 3. Differentiated instruction and cooperative learning can elevate peer interaction and cooperative skills. 4. Differentiated instruction and cooperative learning can elevate learning outcomes. 5. The complexity of lesson planning and the level differences between underachievers are the dilemmas while conducting differentiated instruction in class. 6. The order control and task distributions are the dilemmas while conducting cooperative learning in class. According to the results, the study provides additional advice for further improvements that may benefit future researchers.
