Taiwan has one of the fastest aging populations in the world. In 2015, citizens aged 100 years and older exceeded 3,000. As a niche market formerly neglected, the senior segment has been highly prioritized in recent years and become a global developmental topic. In accordance with current social trends, the capacity for families to care for their senior members has decreased, resulting in an increasing demand for senior citizens learning centers. Senior citizens learning centers offer a form of community daycare service by providing senior citizens with group leisure and entertainment activities during the day. Subsequently, at the end of each day, these centers return the senior citizens to their homes so that they can enjoy quality family time with their loved ones. This program permits offspring to focus on personal aspirations while also tending to senior citizens’ requirements. Based on the theory of planned behavior, this study created a behavioral intention model for senior citizens learning center participation. By using convenience sampling, this study distributed questionnaires to citizens aged 30 years and older in Taichung. The application of the following methodologies contributed to an insightful behavioral intention analysis about the critical factors influencing senior citizens learning center participation: structural equation modeling (SEM), independent-samples t-test, analysis of variance, and multiple responses. In this study, the allocated samples corresponding to a multivariate normal distribution and the SEM projected a high goodness of fit, reliability, and validity. The study results indicated that variables of attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavior control caused a direct and positive impact on behavioral intention; among which, perceived behavioral control and subjective norm yielded considerable effects. Suggestions for the government and business investors seeking senior citizens learning center ventures are as follows: design marketing strategies tailored to specific segments and provide special services that satisfy psychological well-being and biological requirements. Such actions and measures would increase an overall participation in senior citizens learning centers, and offer a domestic senior care service.
