Titanium isopropoxide sols with different pH values are used to prepare the TiO2 dense layer in the quantum dot sensitized solar cells. Sb2S3 quantum dots are prepared using Successive Ionic Layer Adsorption and Reaction method. The maximum efficiency among the cells is the sample that the dense layer is prepared using sol with pH=3. Its efficiency is 2.02%. From the measurements of the full width at half maximum of the XRD diffraction peaks, the TiO2 particle sizes of the dense layer are about 15nm which is about the same size obtained from SEM micrographs. AFM is used to obtain the thickness and roughness of the dense layers. Sample prepared with pH=3 has the thinnest thickness which is about 41nm, and the largest value of relative roughness. AC impedance measurements show that sample prepared using pH = 3 has the highest charge transfer current density, the longest electro-hole recombination time, and the shortest electron diffusion length. These may be the reasons for sample pH3 having the highest efficiency.
