The axial load effect on the analogous column assumption for shear wall

Popis: | 104 In Taiwan, the earthquake are occurred very frequently, therefore the most important things on structure is its seismic capacity. In fact, facilities for engineering should firstly be considered for economy and workability. The shear wall construction is relatively low in price, such that it becomes the excellent engineering method in the design. Conventionally, it suggests the simulation of analogy column to the shear in consideration for design and calculation. Herein, by using stiffness matrix method to calculate two situations, the first was to consider the axial load and the second was for that of without axial load. The result shows, for the model without axial load, the horizontal displacement of the equivalent structure system is about 1.2 to 3.4 times larger than the shear wall system. For considering the axial load exertion, the horizontal displacement of the equivalent structure system is about 1.2 to 5 times larger than that of the shear wall system. The accomplishments derived can be taken as basis of reference for planning and design. |
