Popis: | 104 This study was to improve the decoloration of dye Acid Orange 7 (AO7) and Reactive of Orange 16 (RO16) by O3, UV/TiO2 and O3/UV/TiO2. The parameters of this study such as UV light, ozone dosage, dye concentration, catalyst dosage and reaction time were examined. The intermediates produced during O3/UV/TiO2 process were discussed by comparing pH values and absorption spectrums of the dye before and after treatment. The results showed that O-, nitride and sulfates intermediates were produced when azo bonds were destroyed. There are three processes which are O3, UV/TiO2, and O3/UV/TiO2, for comparison in this study. O3 plays an important role because the decoloration efficiency increases when increasing O3 concentration. The decoloration efficiencies and first-order rate constant of three processes for dye AO7 are 90.51%, 15.86% and 99.18%; 0.0427min-1, 0.0027min-1, and 0.0818min-1 for O3, UV/TiO2, and O3/UV/TiO2 process, respectively. One can find that it is almost colorless after O3/UV/TiO2 process but only decolorized less than 16% after UV/TiO2 process. By the way, the decoloration efficiencies and first-order rate constant of three processes for dye RO16 are 77.73%, 31.34% and 96.16%, 0.0272min-1, 0.0056min-1, and 0.0661min-1 for O3, UV/TiO2, and O3/UV/TiO2 process, respectively. |
