Popis: | 104 A Study on Physical Education Teachers’ Efficacy and the Related Factors among Taipei Municipal Junior High Schools Graduate Institute of Physical Education, Fu Jen Catholic University Researcher: Chen, Kung Advisor: Yang, Chih-Hsien, Ed.D. 英文摘要 Abstract This study aimed to investigate the self-perceived teacher efficacy and the related factors among Taipei municipal junior high school physical education teachers. In this study, 203 questionnaires were distributed with 145 valid ones retrieved, attaining a response rate of 71.4%. To analyze the collected data, the statistical analysis software SPSS version 20.0 was employed. The statistical methods included descriptive statistics, independent-samples t tests, one-way ANOVA analyses, and multiple regression analyses. The conclusions of this study are as follows: (a) most subjects were male, aged in their 40s, married, with 21 years of seniority, with a master's degree, graduated from normal schools, majored in physical education, from large-sized schools, appointed administrative positions, with more than one sport specialties, and taught 5 to 8 different sports; (b) Taipei municipal junior high school PE teachers had a strong perception on their teaching efficacy, and there was no significant difference among subjects with different background variables; (c) factors affecting the teaching efficacy of Taipei municipal junior high school PE teachers, in a descending scoring order were: “Impractical Related Policies”, “Poor-communicative School Culture”, “Indifferent School Leaders”, “Maladjustment”, and “Unfriendly Work Environment”; (d) there was no significant difference on perceptions of teaching efficacy and the factors affecting them among subjects with different background variables; and (e) ”Maladjustment” of the teachers was a significant predicting factor of the “Professional Competencies”, “Classroom Management Ability”, “Ability to Help Students Making Progress” and the overall teaching efficacy; “Indifferent School Leaders” and “Unfriendly Work Environment” were significant in predicting “Teaching Materials Preparation” and “Multiple Evaluation Methods Design” abilities, respectively.
