From literary reviews, data collection and interview data analysis, the research concludes that 6 influencing factors affect the planning of activity strategies: 1. Funding spirit of the university; 2. Brand image of the university; 3. Link to alumni activity; 4. Religious belief; 5. Pre-departure training; 6. Formation of activity planning. To future cycling around Taiwan events, it is advised that the connection between university mission and the participants should be strengthened via effective communication and activity design. The needs and expectations of the participants can also be fulfilled while the organizer’s mission and goals are achieved. Besides, the success of an outdoor activity also relies upon close attention to safety concerns, recruitment and participation of medical professions and security personnel.
