A Study for the Impact of the Merger Guarantee Period on Employee's Organizational Commitment: An Example of N Insurance Company.

In this study using the merger of life insurance company by non-financial institution as the example, collecting data through questionnaire survey, we study the impacts of the changes of work environment indicators, personality traits and demographic variables of employees on employee’s organizational commitment after the guarantee period. Our research results show that, for the changes in the work environment indicators, only the impacts of job content and job resources on employee’s organizational commitment changed significantly after the guarantee period. The impact of personality traits on employee’s organizational commitment did not change significantly after the guarantee period. For demographic variables, the impact of gender on employee’s organizational commitment declined significantly after the guarantee period.
