With the advancement of technology and rapid development of internet, the issues on information technology applications have been paid more and more attention. Many different applications of attendance systems have been developed, such as the recently developed RFID, biometrics, Bluetooth, etc. Teachers use current available technologies such as webpages, wireless networks, and mobile devices to implement advanced automatic attendance system instead of using paper to mark student’s attendance. However, each attendance system has strengths and weaknesses. Currently, Wi-Fi systems are widespread in campuses and has become an essential facility for research and learning within the campuses. Students and teachers can access the internet at any time and use mobile devices for research purposes. Hence, this study propose a new attendance system framework that uses student mobile devices to scan QR-Code and perform digital signature authentication to obtain a secure and exclusive random key, and associate with app to connection to the application server and back-end database to fulfill the objective. Teachers also can connect to the back-end to query students’ attendance information by webpage. After analysis of simulation results, you can see that the system has the advantages such as saving more time, information accuracy, and can linked to device usage records and student absence systems, etc. Hence this study can to assist teachers in effectively and quickly obtaining the student attendance list, and save the attendance time and enhance education quality.
